Its been a while. I have a question about basketball positions. (Guard, Forward) I play guard and forward. I had played JV on junior year. Even though I didn't like that very much. I was suppose to be on varsity last season. But I had a great year on my junior year in basketball. I played a lot and played every body position because we didn't even have enough players on the team. During the summer I had workouts and the JV and Varsity and middle school went down too UNCG too play teams around the county and outside of state. I'm going to be on varsity this year. I'm working hard to get better on my game. What are some great ways to practice positions like guard and Forward?:)

Ball handling is always important for any player, but especially a guard. Try dribbling 2 balls at once, make a figure 8 around your legs while dribbling the ball.

For a forward, practice your drop step from the low post area. Have someone bounce the ball to you, plant your pivit foot and drop your other foot so you are facing the basket, then layup. Be sure you can do a layup both right and left handed.

No matter the position foul shooting is always very very important.
