Hello,
I am concerned about moving onto my father's acreage. In 1992 I turned 18 and receive a $8000 settlement from when I was 8 years old. From 1992-1996 I worked F/T and earned $1200-1600 per month. I gave him ALL my money. My father perchased 2.25 acres in 1992 and told me it would be mine and my future children's. In 1996 I was married and 3 months pregnant and moved out of my father's home. He demanded I still pay for the 2.25 acres at $100 per month (Half of payment). He only paid ($18000 total price) from 1992-1998. Now, I have a Doublewide, married 11 years and have 4 kids. We want to move to the property. However he implies I walked out of the payments and insuch lost ownership. He was a drunker, drug user and wife beater and I do not resent moving out. I have calculated with SS earning statements and the $8000 settelment. I gave him about $30000 between 1992-1996. I feel I more than paid for the whole 2.25 acres ($18000). However, he is the only one on the deed. If I move onto the property. Could he evict me for any reason. We (myself/husband) will not make payment guarantees etc. no contract etc. What could he legaly do?

Seperatly, can I still seek a court order to have 50% or even 100% ownership of the property. He made the last payment in 1998 and deed transfer in Feb 1999. Can I get on the deed and what would I need to prove etc?

Many thanks,
Crystal

You need an attorney, but it doesn't look good. You would have to prove that eh was purchasing the property for you and that the money you paid was for the property.
