View Full Version : What is wrong with me?

I constantly battle with my own conscience. Sometimes I'll feel really down and then I'll seem to have a conversation with myself in my head. All I hear are negative things like 'you're no good' and 'the world is better off without you.' A few times I literally punched myself on both sides of my head. Yeah, that didn't work, but I will say for myself I can punch pretty hard. I'm not on any type of meds and I don't drink or do drugs. I'm pretty stubborn and won't go see a doctor because I'm afraid I will get put on meds and I don't want that.

Sometimes a visit to a doctor doesn't do any harm and being on meds isn't so bad if it is remedial and not forever. Your doctor may suggest a counsellor to talk to and that would be a good idea too.

I agree with tickle. You should go visit the doctor. If you had a cold of sorts, you'd take the antibiotics, yes? There is no shame in taking medicines that help you feel better emotionally. Best of luck!

Hi
Try this " medicine": every morning AND evening when you go to sleep, say yorself in your head: "I am a very good person , everyone adores me ,I love myself and I trust myself in every aspect of my life,I am a wonderfull and will be wonderfull for the rest of my life because it's true".All other positive things about yourself are good as well.Keep telling this to yourself for 6 weeks ( it can be a bit long for you but believ me it helps!).
There was something in your past or semeone that was constanty underrating you till you got to the point you keep telling similar words to yourself now, but you can get rid of these negative thought by reestablishing balance-taking in positive thoughts till you get used to thinking more positively about yourself.I don't hink you have to see the doc, as medicines had side effects and will not help you to get rid of your thoughts but if you feel you are in deep depression or stress you can see the doctor, but talkinjg to yourself in a posiitve way is also good. So try this, good luck :))

I know you agreed with all of us and that was very nice of you, but, biggie, you have to take control of your life and you are not doing that by procrastinating. The time is never wrong for a doctor visit, the time is never wrong to get out for a good long walk and the empowerment you will feel just doing things on the spur of the moment will benefit you greatly.

Maybe it would be better to be taking some kind medicine for an indefinate time than
Living your problem for the rest of your life.On the other hand it could be that you might
Have a cemical embalance or you might look back in your life an look for a traumatic
Event that happened earlyer down the line, for instance it could be caused by some mental
Or phisical ,auto axident or something you saw or molestation as a child but I've been
Told that there is help for all of these problems an maybe having the fear of taking
Medicine is part of that problem
GOOD LUCK MY FRIEND
