I have a Hampton Bay ceiling fan without a manual. The remote control does not have a reverse button and the fan housing does not have a reverse swith. How do I reverse the blade direction?

I have a Hawthorn ceiling fan made by Hampton Bay. Can't find the blade reverse switch anywhere. It was a floor model so I don't have any info on it. They gave me a new remote without a reverse button on it. Any ideas on how to reverse it? I do have a remote from another fan that works the speed and light, but not the reverse. Any help would be appreciated.

Answer: "The fan may not actually even have a reverse function. This is not uncommon for the low end China Import (Hampton Bay) fans sold at Home Depot (which is the only place you can buy Hampton Bay ceiling fans). So, you will need to ask the experts (HHmmmm) at Home Depot to see if they can answer your question.

Is this the original remote control to the fan, or could it possibly be a replacement? If the remote to the fan NEVER had a reverse button, then the reverse button is hidden somewhere on the fan body.

If it is a replacement remote, it is possible the original remote had the reverse feature.
