My 3 year old daughter fell in the bath tub and hit her mouth. One of her front teeth has begun to discolor. Does this mean that her second tooth will be discolored when it come in?

Not necessarily. That happened to me when I was her age, but it shoved my tooth up into my gums. I was ruthless toothless for about 3years. When it came back down, it was discolored like you're talking about. When it finally fell out and my perm tooth came in, it was perfectly normal. You probably should take her to a dentist to have the gums checked though.

The same thing happened to my daughter... and me when I was little. All my adult teeth came in fine, and no discoloration.
When I took my daughter to the dentist for her first exam, he noticed the discoloration too. He said it was just due to trama (she had bumped her mouth on a friends forehead). He said there is nothing they do to treat baby teeth, and that it will have no effect on her permanent teeth. :)

The adult tooth should come in fine. Keep an eye on the tooth though. If your daughter starts to favour it (not want to bite anything with it or eat anything cold) or if you notice a pimple on the gum above it you should get her to the dentist as soon as you can.
