Hi, very new to this site, I have been on depo for a while. I stopped taking it and got my first period August 19 07, now today I started again 38 day's later. I am trying to get pregnant and have heard horrible things about getting pregnant after depo, anyway I was wondering if I am fertile again since I am getting my periods?? Also the first period was regular, but this one seems very dark, is that just because I didn't have periods for so long? Please help! I am going crazy trying to figure out if I'm ovulating and when!

Not necessarily. You may be ovulating, but not fertile yet. I am going through the same thing. Not to discourage, but it's been almost a year (10 months) and my cycles are still 31-35 days apart and no second baby yet. However, don't stress on it too much... have fun trying! :) I have been told by my OB that it usually takes 12-18 months for you to completely return to "normal". I haven't tried one yet, but a friend of mine recommended the at home ovulation test (worked for her).

Not really...

Depo prevents you from ovulating (releasing an egg). So while your periods may have come back, you may not be ovulationg yet. It can take over a year for depo to get out of your system.
