Hi just brought a car from dearler on 16/09/2007 the guy assured me that it was perfect but today a friend of mine checked the hpi and found out that it still has finance on it what can I do

First, its not a good idea to piggyback your question on someone else's thread especially when the questions have nothing to do with each other as you did. So this has been moved to its own thread.

Not sure what hpi is, but its possible the release hasn't been recorded yet. The dealer is responsible for providing you clear title. Did you get a title certificate yet?
