my son had a warm up problem that I think he got wrong. It was 5x-2y=8
I think you set x at 0 and then you find y. I say 5(0)-2y=8
y=-4 when x is 0. Is this correct?

yes. Then you have to set y to 0 and find x. Then you put those 2 points on a graph and you can make a line

yes UR correct because when you put the answer back into the equation it works
5(0)-2(-4)=8
