Is there a way to put a drawstring in the hood of a hooded sweathshirt that didn't come with one in the first place? I bought this hooded sweathshirt through the mail and I can't return it since I washed it. I know how to sew a little bit and I wanted to know if there was a way I could make the drawstring holes in the hood and insert the draw string. Any help would be greatly appreciated! :)

You can get a corded shoestring and thread that through. Have had to do that in replacing strings. If you cannot find a corded shoestring, look for other kinds of shoestrings. Shoestrings have the length.

When threading the cord you pick, tie it to a pencil and use that to thread it all the way through. It will be a lot easier than trying to keep track of the end of a string.

Thanks for the insightful answers. But maybe I should have been more specific. I meant that the hood on the sweathshirt doesn't even have the holes to put the drawstring through. So, how would I go about starting from scratch, so to speak, and make the holes to put the drawstring through. Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated!!
