Actually I want to ask about 2 cartoon series from the 80ies.

The characters in both of them are animals. In the first one I only remember one of them, a fat female hippo. She prepares pies... there is also on many occasions this green money tree. When it flowers the leaves are green dollar bills! We used to tear off my mum's plants pretending it was the money tree:)

The second one depicts African animals. An elephant and a lion mostly. But the plots where usually boring. The music is nice with an African flair. I am not sure how to describe it. They talked in a funny way with a high pitch. When they moved, mostly only their feet moved. The animation and drawings were very primitive and minimalistic not like Disney movies. There could be also a mouse involved which scares the elephant. So any ideas? I am sure all the kids from the 80ies have seen them. Thanks.

OK I meant obviously money tree not three;) as in the green one that grows out of the soil..

For the first one the hippo wears a pink toutou

For the second one I don't know if it makes it any easier but the music is a bit Peruvian instead of African.. although the theme is African.

I remember watching the first one but I can't remember what it is. The only thing with a hippo that comes to mind right now is "The Wuzzles" But I'm pretty sure that isn't it.

The money tree was probably just in a few episodes;)

What about the second one? It was aired around the same time I think.

I miss those days too. The Wuzzles and Gummy Bears were two of my favorite shows.
