I just replaced my Maytag washer's motor, pump, and belt. The pump had a piece of debris in it and it seized up. This caused the motor to burn out.
Anyway, now that it is all back together the washer will not entirely drain the clothes when it goes through a cycle. You can pull out the clothes and still wring out more water.
The belt squeeks a little when in the spin cycle and it just seems like the barrel is not spinning fast enough. The motor (I think) is self adjusting because it pivots on a slotted plate and there is no way to adjust the belt tension.
Does anyone have any suggestions? My Wife is already looking at new washers, but I refuse to be beaten by this washer. HA!
Thanks!
