In March of 2006 I was admitted to the hospital and told I had a stroke, then again in 2007 I was admitted again a neurology doctor saw me and said that I never had a stroke and that I need to see a physiatrist because that was the only person to help me, I was tod that I had hysterical paralysis. My question is from everything I have read about hysterical paralysis is that it only lasts a couple of days to a couple of weeks I have been unable to walk for over a year and I now stutter, have weakness in my arms and other problems can't be hysterical paralysis or something that isn't showing on MRI. My phychartrist says yes I am depressed by not enough to become parlysised and having the other problems I'm having. Please help me with this question.

Go see another neurologist. Second opinions are critical in medicine.
