My Bank Account has been kept under lien, by the bank because I have to pay Credit Card Usage & Charges, due to some problems I was not able to pay the credit card amount, of Rs. 20,000/- a executive of the bank approached me and told that it will be settled in 18,000/- and I agreed to it, after that they kept a lien on my bank account which is having 24,200/- in balance.

I there a legal remedy for removing the lien, are the empowered to do so, please help.

First can you tell us generally where you are located. Second, was the credit card from the same bank? Third, were you ever sued over the debt and was a judgment ever obtained?
