I just looked it up because I had never heard of it. It sounds like it's a low glycemic index diet. These are very popular right now in the states we have several popular diet plans that incorporate this approach.

My cousins best friend followed the Nutri System plan (which is a low glycemic index diet) and lost a ton of weight. She looks great and she feels really good.

Based on what I saw with the Ultra Lite diet is that you are under the care of a Naturopath which should make the diet safe and more effective.

Best of luck!

I have a very good friend who went on the Ultra Lite Diet under the care of a naturopath and lost 20 pounds in about 6 weeks. She says she feels really good and is very happy with the weight that she has lost. She has lots of energy. She is also thrilled because she has been able to maintain the loss on the "maintenance" diet which is suggested after the initial "main" diet. Her husband has just started the diet and is looking forward to losing weight. My friend feels that she was the "guinea pig" and now after seeing that the diet works, her husband her husband was willing to give it a try. I'm now looking for a naturopath in my town who works with the diet.

I'm familiar with the Ultra lite diet. Absolutely the best weight reduction plan I've ever been on. I lost 40 lbs in 5 weeks and 45". The plan is one that you can be on for a lifetime and once you've gotten to your desirable weight you can add other foods in in moderation. If you pick up 5 lbs, go back on the plan and take the weight off quickly. Finally, I've never felt better than when I'm on the Ultra Light plan as dairy and wheat products are not allowed and most of us if tested for allergies are allergic to one or the other which is a source of inflammation.

Mental fogginess goes away and feel better. I highly recommend this weight reduction plan. Not a weight loss plan as that implies that you can find the weight you loss. : ^ )
