My beagle is a puppy and will not bark? I don't understand why, she will whine and growl. She trembles when she is watching a squirrel or something moving but won't do anything else please help me figure out why??

When was she removed from her mother and litter, and did she have much contact with other dogs afterwards? The barking may be sort of a learned behavior. This certainly is a case for my contention that dogs are individuals and do not always show the behavior expected of their breeds.
Do you have a dog park you could take her to? If she was around other dogs that were barking, she might join in. Maybe not. I have a year old and a 14 years old Lab. The older Lab always barks when she want in. The younger one has never learned to do it. It is wonder she didn't freeze to death last winter when I would put her out and forget about her while answering questions.

You are complaining ? A lot of people would love to have a dog that doesn't bark. Of course there is a breed called Basenji that doesn't bark but that is natural for them.
Could be something bred into her about not scaring something off before she can track it down. I would say it would be something natural for her to do, although I do know beagles, a wonderful breed in many ways. Wonderful family dogs and good with children and other animals.

Well I don't know when she left her mother or the other pups. I picked her up off the streets about two months ago. I have another beagle also her name is dallas and she barks at everything when she thinks they might hurt me. Dallas also barks when she plays... but shelby (younger one Just picked up off the street) won't do anything... shelby plays is very healthy... and is very well behaved but I just don't know her history, but she looks like she was taken care of at one point, she looks to be only be anywhere from 8 months to maybe a year and a couple months old... but she is not skiddish or mean. Shelby is very good with kids and Dallas and her get along great.

I am very happy you took her in. The lack of proper socialization before 12 weeks old can cause all sorts of strange behavior. It is possible somebody beat her for barking before you found her. She almost sounds too young to have been surgically debarked then too. I would just enjoy her as is.
I think it would be better if I merged the 2 threads.
