Why is it that I am only inspired when something bad happens?
I've written countless poems about experiences... bad experiences.
Why never the good?
Anyone else like this?

I'm very much the same way. I find it difficult to stop and record a happy moment... sometimes it even makes me feel boastful for some weird reason.
However, bad moments inspire me to write in part, as a "vent." It forces me to spend time thinking about what happened and usually helps me feel better.

I feel akin to the answer above.
I am very much the same way with inspiration when writing. I think that when something bad happens, we are more likely to spend more time thinking about it. I try to put together what I remember about the event and my feelings towards it. Writing can be a vent to my frustrations, then.
When I am in love with someone, or a certain type of activity, it can be an equal source for inspiration for writing also.

Writing is therapeutic. When something bad happens, it can help you cope.
