Hi,
I'm a loving, soft, passionate girl. But what most people don't know about me is that I think about suicide everyday. No one knows except my closest friends. I really want to tell my mom so I can get the help that I need. How do I look my mom in the eye and tell her this secret?

Have you tried writing her a letter? It will make it easier and you can think about what you want to say for longer. Just leave it somewhere she will find it with her name on the front.

Why can't you tell your mom? Are you worried she won't believe you?
I also agree with writing her a letter, if you're not wure how she will react.
When you try to talk to her you could bring a close friend with you for support

I agree with the letter. This would be the easiest way to get you internal feelings out. Writing always brings out more than a sit down conversation. Whe it comes to saying your side that is. Write her a letter sweet. Are you in school? You really need to get this off your chest and get some help to try and figure things out so you can be happy. Hugs, Start

First off, I am so sorry life is so difficult for you. Truly: Nothing is ever worth killing yourself over. I think, perhaps through counseling you can learn how to detach enough from the world so you don't feel so intensely . Ask you Mom if she would be willing to go into counseling with you because you need help with some important and critical issues in your life. I am sure she will agree to that! Be SURE to tell her it is critical to get you into the counseling as soon as possible. If she asks why tell her it is an emergency situation and you don't feel comfortable talking about it right now. I also know you can go to the emergency room of a hospital to get help. I believe, the important thing for you is to explore your beliefs about yourself and life. Also, you probably will need to take some meds for a while until you learn some different ways to think about things. I suffered from depression for years so I know what you are up against. Believe me, talking with a professional and getting the meds made my life SO different! Hang in there for just a while longer until you can get the assistance you need. God Bless You.
