Why does dieting effect your period?

I'm currently on a diet just to lose 10 pounds, does that mean my period will not come/be late?

Can this be avoided?

Glad it helped.

I am no expert on medical or any other field.
Lets wait until one of them sees this thread, they maybe able to help you on this.:)

Personally for me, periods delay a day or two and I am 26 and have given birth too.

If it already delays that much, you should consult a Doc before dieting just to be safe.
