Hi! I am using a Sony Vaio desktop with Windows XP. I recently installed a Seagate FreeAgent 500GB External Desktop Hard Drive for backing up my computer and files. I have a folder on the new hard drive called WINDOWS\, and I want to delete it, as I found a different way to back up what I needed. The WINDOWS\ file breaks down as such:
I:\WINDOWS\System32\MacroMed\Flash\Flash.ocx
I have tried everything I can think of to delete these folders and the file Flash.ocx... all to no avail. I've tried wipe programs, deletion programs, I've tried just about everything.
If I need to reformat the hard drive to get rid of that file, then I will, but I'd rather not, if I don't have to, as I've already done my backup into a different folder. The WINDOWS\ folder came from my first attempt to copy my files, but it wasn't what I wanted to use in the future for restoring.
Can anyone offer any suggestions on how to delete the whole folder, starting with the flash.ocx file? Any help would be MOST appreciated!
Thanks! Chilly Lemone
