I am working on a project for school and I have gotten stuck on a specific ratio. I am trying to find the Accounts Receivable Turnover. The formula in my book is:

Net Credit Sales/Average net accounts recivable

I have two questions.

1. How do I figure the net credit sales if they are not given on the trial balance?
2. How do I determine the average net AR if the preveious years ar is not given?

So your company has been around for a number of years, you don't have opening AR, just closing and just have total sales?

Just use total Sales and Ending AR then if you don't have any more information. For a homework problem, that is all you can use since there is no more information.
