I have to write a research paper for Management Accounting (or Cost Acct whichever you want to call it) and I don't have a clue what a good topic would be. Any ideas?

I would suggest a paper reviewing the Theory of Constraints (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Theory_of_Constraints) as it relates to Throughput Accounting (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cost_accounting).
