Help

I get have been getting pimples since I was 13 I don't think my face as ever been completely clear since. Oily skin is incredably annoying

I eat healthy, exercise, have a strict skincare routine every morning and night.
I change my sheets and pillow cases regularly.

I'm now using prescription pimple cream and have been on antibotics for a few weeks however I still break out

How long until the antibotics work? My sister has perfect skin it's really annoying

What am I doing wrong?

How old are you now?

I got them a lot starting from Elementary school...
My doctor told me it was mostly from stress...

As I got older I simply "grew out" of them and it got better when I left my stressful environment.

I have good skin now...

What is your prescription called? Maybe I can help you if I know, because when you start a presciption strength antibiotic, the acne gets worse, because all the pimples that would have come in a few weeks or days come out right now, due to the strength of the medicine, once that clears up, your acne should disappear for good

Try proactive. I have tried a lot of stuff (even proscriptions from the derma) and stared using proactive about two years ago. It is the only product that works, won't try your skin and actually balances it. It's a system and it is the best product that I have ever used. I have not had any acne or dryness in two years.

I'd say stick to your prescription. Proactiv severely dries your skin, and it irritated mine severely as well. If you have really really oily skin, then maybe you can give it a shot, but still, that stuff is very strong and my skin couldn't handle it, plus, it didn't even help with my acne!

Sorry if I am repeating but I am in a hurry.

Acne runs hard in my family and I have tried EVERYTHING even using urine (I know gross). What worked for me is... using nothing. Proactiv works great for like a day... then my acne would come back with a vengeance. I tried creams (which worked for individual pimples), soaps, everything. Basically what I want to say is that everyone is different and has\ different reasons for having acne. The problem I was having was I was making it bad/worse. I was getting rid of the oils that my skin needed. I started washing my face with juust water and some times antibacterial soap when in the shower, my face isn't perfect and clean... but it is the best I have ever seen it. I barely ever break out.

That's funny, that's the same thing I'm on! Well, so far, it hasn't really worked for me either, but the derm said about 6 weeks and not to get discouraged. I'd say, use it for 6 weeks, don't skip a night, and if nothing happens, go back and get a different prescription. They'll keep trying until you find one that works for you. One thing about differen that confuses me is that your face has to be completely dry, but I need moisturizer, so I put it over my moisturizer, so I think I'm going to start using it under my moisturizer. When will it be 6 weeks?
