How far does the typical employee drive for lunch?

Isn't that going to depend on where the employee works? Do you mean on average for the whole country or just a community?

I've worked for quiet a few different companies* and it tends to be half an hour to an hour.
*NHS stores, stationary company head office, packaging manufacturer head office, in a pharmacy/ research lab
This is in the UK

But you aren't driving 30 minutes to an hour for lunch, right?
Are you asking how far people travel to get their lunch?

Drive for lunch?. well I guess that depends on whether I brought my lunch from home, went home, or if I had errands to run while on lunch...

Ha! :p No! So is this about distance not time?
I have always had lunch on the premises, I can't be bothered travelling even when I have lived close.
Is it me did that drive just get edited or have I gone completely mad [very possible]

I don't know. I can't figure out what they are asking. I bring my lunch and order Chinese on Friday - too lazy to fight the traffic!

We bring our lunches (or suppers) to work (library is open from 9-9) or order in or go to one of the nearby fast-food places (at least 15 within a mile of the library). We are allowed a half hour for lunch/supper.

I "drive" the few minutes it takes to walk to the pantry pick up my lunch sack and get back to my desk ;)
I agree this question needs a lot of refinement.

Let me see I get 30 minutes for lunch, so I go from my desk to the company break area and eat my sandwich ( tuna today)
