I was cleaning my bathtub in one bathroom this evening. After I finished, I left the bathroom to get something and when I came back the bathroom floor was covered with water. The water had been turned off good when I finished cleaning the tub. Not knowing where the water was coming from I turned the water off behind the comode. I immediately got the water up with towels. I took some of the things from that bathroom to another bathroom down the hall and when I went in that bathroom, that floor was also covered with water. I turned the water off behind the comode in that bathroom too. I don't understand where the water came from in either bathroom but especially the bathroom down the hall because I had not turned the water on or used the comode in that bathroom all day. I am now afraid to turn water on anywhere since it appeared so mysteriously. However, I have not seen any more leakage anywhere but since it's late at night, I don't want to take a chance on turning water on again. Does anyone have a clue to what might have caused this.

Sounds to me like both your toilets backed up and overflowed at the same time . Where you washing clothes at the time and when it drined out it caused the backflow,? This due to a blockage in the sewer lines.?. I seen the city sewer group out in the street and they were using the high preesure hose truck on the main sewer line out in the middle of the street, All at once the ladys from come running out of there houses screeming . What had happened was the main sewer was stopped up and deverted pressure to those two houses ,except it blew all over the ceiling walls floor ,it was a MESS::: . The city had to pay for all repairs, This IS NO JOKE:::: CHECK sewer line for blockage, First.

If the floors get covered so quickly just towel up the water and sit there and wait. You should see where is is coming from shortly. How well is the other toilet working, any issues at all?
