My boyfriend of 10 yrs wants "his name" on my house, he does contribute and helped with down payment, we have been there 3 yrs. What is the best way to appease him but protect myself of any misgivings in the future if they should occur?

Write up a partnership agreement on the house that spells out exactly what everybody put in, and exactly what everybody will be taking out. Then spell out all the things that could go wrong, and who gets what then.

That should make him feel better without clouding your title.
