My corian countertops is about 7 yrs old. The countertops started to have a long continuous crack. I contacted dupont for warranty coverage & after they inspected my corian, I was given a letter stating that the crack was caused by abuse of excessive heat & use of chemicals and dupont won't repair or replace it.
Has anybody dealt with the same kind of situation with dupont? Do they warranty cracks on corian countertops. I use the corian with proper care based on their use guidelines.

The Corian warranty excludes coverage for damaged caused by excessive heat or certain chemicals. If you are certain that the countertop wasn't damaged by excessive heat or chemicals, then you can appeal the denial. You should respond in writing and request reconsideration.
Portable electric appliances such as crock pots, electric frying pans and deep fat fryers can damage Corian tops. A solid trivet with rubber feet should be used to protect the top. Also, hot pots or roasting pans can damage a Corian top. They should never be placed directly on the countertop.
Corian is an excellent countertop material but it is not indestructible. This kind of damage CAN be repaired. Visit Top Repair - Your Countertops Like New Again. DuPont Corian and Other Brands (http://www.TopRepair.com) for more information.
