I have a contract for deed and I contacted the lady I have it with and told her I was having personal problems. She said it was fine she wanted no part of the property and make arrangements with the finance company so I did but before I could make the payment she bought the property under her husbands company (they flip houses) and served me ith papers to get off the property for default of contract. In November I had applied for a loan to pay of property and get my life strait.Well the loan was approved and when I was going to sign the paperwork I was told it was denied because there was a lien on the property and it states in the contract that she is to give me a abstract for deed when the property is paid for.Well she has defaulted on the contract to cause at the time of loan she couldn not give me an abstract cause of lien which was applied a year before we signed contract.I have been paying for seven years and all I have left is my home I don't want to lose it can any one help me with advice?I can not afford a laywer and I'm stuck HELP.

I can not afford a laywer .

Every time I see this I cringe. You can't afford NOT to have a lawyer. They will have a lawyer and that gives them a huge edge if you don't have legal counsel.

Without seeing the exact terms of the contract, we can only guess. But if you defaulted on your payments, then they can cancel the contract and regain the property.

If they violated the terms of the contract, you may have to sue them to enfore those terms.
