Is their a better way to go then a realtor to find the owner of a abanded house. I would I be sure that the realtor just won't buy the house for themselves just to make more money.

Yes, the realtor will not do it without charging you.

You go down to the county courthouse, you ask to see the deed of the property. You look at the deed and see who owns it.
You go down the hall to the real estate tax office and see who is paying the taxes on the property ( and even how much)

So you can contact the person paying the taxes at the address on file at the tax office
