I have a 5+ month old shih tzu puppy. He has been throwing up about every other morning since last week. (Including today, has thrown up two days in a row since he also did yesterday.) Very odd. He is still eating, pooping/peeing regularly. Everything looks good. He had been on muscle relaxers/painkillers for a neck injury, but has been off for about 1 week now. He eats Science Diet puppy food, but during his recovery, I had to supplement with AD wet dog food - three days in a row, just a couple of spoonfuls each night so that he would take his muscle relaxer.

Could this be related? I am hesitant to bring into the Vet because we've been in so much lately. I don't want to over-react, but more than that I don't want to under-react! Thanks in advance for your help!

I think you should at least call the vet. The vet can give a much more reliable opinion on whether it is the medicine or even the A/D. Strange food can upset a dogs stomach. Perhaps another reason to just pop the pill in the dogs mouth, see https://www.askmehelpdesk.com/dogs/trick-giving-medication-127043.html

It is is just the medicine, etc. you know you can trust it if the vet says so, and the call should be quick and free. If it is something new, or a bad reaction to the medicine, then the sooner the vet should know.

Thanks for the reply! No throwing up this morning, but I am still worried. I think I will call the Vet, though Rocky hasn't taken any pills or eaten wet food for 1+ week now. Thanks again!
