I have just figured out how to add an avatar to my username on a board that I go to. Yeah! But I can't seem to understand the siggy instructions. For the avatar, I just copied and pasted the URL into the Avatar box. But for the siggy, they have different instructions that include doing the [image] thing. I tried that [image] and then the URL of my photobucket photo then [image], but it isn't working. I guess I'm wondering why the info you type in the avatar box is different from the siggy image info. Can anyone explain why there is a difference? It would be so much easier it they were both the same. I just need to know the rational for the differnce. Can you help? Also, on photobucket there are URL, Tag & IMG boxes. Can someone explain what these are exactly (in newbie terms, please) and what the difference is? Thanks for you help, as always!

I may be a newb myself, but I think I have a simple idea of what the URL, Tag and IMG boxes are for.. URL is the address of the image, meaning that if u type that URL in the address bar, the image would show up alone. The Tag box is the HTML coding for the image, meaning that if you make a website or something, if you put that code into your website, it'll show up as that image. The IMG box I think is the thing you paste in your signature so it'll show up in your signature. To answer your first question, I guess all forums are made up like that, avatar for a small image only, and signature to be a personalization. If they were both the same, you can only put images there, but they're not. And you should try (IMG)URL(/IMG) instead of the thing you were doing. (Of course, change all ( to [ and ) to ] to make the image work)
