My window unit is squeeling loudly. I have oiled the motor before on another unit, which had small plugs I removed to put the oil in. when I removed this unit from its housing to look at the motor I couldn't find any plugs to remove... how do I lubricate this motor?

It is lubed for life or so they say. You might try dripping some oil down on the shaft where it enters the body of the motor. Sometimes this will cause the motor to draw a bit of that oil in when you start the unit back up. Turn power off before oiling.

The only other way is to remover the motor and disassemble if you can. Then lube the motor and reassemble. This is not an easy task but I have done it before. I use a special pure teflon light weight oil for this purpose. It is available at tufoil.com
