I have a water tank that is 24" Dia X 60" high Galvanized steel.
I put a new control box, turned on the water pump (submersible)
The tank received to same level as usual (about 36" from bottom of tank)
And the pump stopped at the settled pressure 47 and kicks back on at 30
Which is good pressure and water delivery. I am happy as a dog eating - - - t.
Now I decided to water the hell out of my yard and put out a couple of
Sprinklers full blast, and every thing is working fine. It has been over a week,
Today I noticed that the water level (sweat) on the tank while I had a sprinkler going, was about 6 or 7 inches from the bottom.
I immediately commenced to panic
And turned the pump off.
I kept watering to drain the tank, an it sure did look like it had
More then the 6 or 7 inches of height in water. I started the pump again and it filled the normal way and everything looks great.What happens when more air is in the tank then water? As I sit here writing this I am thinking that the water was being used too fast to sweat the tank, and I am just running around looking for problems (which is what my wife says)
Please advise. Whatever the advise, I’ll never admit to her she was right, Manny don’t do that :D

Chill out Manny,

Your sprinklers just drew more water out the pump could supply. As you've found out the tank is self stabilizing. You haven't started getting air out of your lines have you? Don't worry your system sounds normal. Tom
