I've been experience a lot of really abnormal stuff lately. Hopefully someone can help me.

For starters, I always know about 3 days before I get my period because I start feeling a certain kind of sickness (nothing abnormal). Last month for the first time ever it didn't happen and I got my period over a week late. (which also never happens... I've never gotten my period more than 2 days before or after it was due. Another weird thing is that it was really really light the first 2 days, extremely painful and heavy the next 2 days and then it completely stopped. (again another abnormality for me... period is usually very moderate, about 5 -7 days. I'm 21 and have never even had cramps until now)

Friday, August 24th; my boyfriend and I (who have lived together for over a year now) had sex. It was a little more rough than usual and right after I started bleeding a bit. Not enough to worry about though because it was rough, I figured it was normal. During sex the condom broke and he immediately pulled out. I washed myself out immediately after that as is my normal routine if this would happen. I'm always extremely meticulous when it comes to washing out after something like that just to make sure. I didn't do anything different from the norm.

Saturday Morning (Aug 25th) I went to the pharmacy as soon as it opened and got the morning after pill. This is only the second time I've ever taken it. (the last time being about 3 1/2 months ago.) I took it as directed and pretty much spent the rest of the day praying that it worked. Just as the last time I didn't experience any symptoms whatsoever from taking this pill. Not sure if that's normal or not but whatever.

Both my boyfriend and I went back to school on the 27th. His campus is over 4 hours away so naturally when he came home for labor day weekend (friday aug 31st-monday sept. 3rd) things heated up a little. That Saturday we started to have sex and no sooner than his penis was inside, I started getting this really sharp stabbing pain in my side and made him pull out. He wasn't in long enough (or even made it in far enough) for anything to happen but again I cleaned myself out just to be on the safe side.

This past Friday (sept. 7) I woke up and noticed a dried brown spot on my underwear. When I went to the bathroom my pee seemed fine (no weird colors or smells or anything) but when I wiped there was this really dark brown discharge on the toilet paper. It wasn't a lot but I've never experienced this before so it still weirded me out a little. I wore a pad the rest of the day to see if it was coming out just when I went to the bathroom or if it was leaking and sure enough by then end of the day there was a little bit of brown stuff on the pad.

Yesterday (saturday) I wore a pad to work just in case (I'm a waitress so I definitely don't need any embarrassing accidents :) ) about halfway through the day I could literally feel something gushing out as if I actually had my period. Sure enough when I went to the bathroom my pad was covered in this really dark brown stuff. I'm not going to be subtle about this and I know this is going to sound really disgusting, but it was so brown that it looked like I had diarrhea from my vagina. Gross I know but because of the color that's what it reminded me of. Later that night when I took a shower, nothing happened. Went to the bathroom no weird leaking or anything, not even anything abnormal on the toilet paper when I wiped. But again because I worry about things like this a lot I wore a pad over night just to be safe.

Woke up this morning and nothing weird. When I went to the bathroom as soon as I wiped it all came gushing out again.

If I count 28 days from when I actually got my period last, I'm not due until the 19th. Next Wednesday. If I count from when I was supposed to get it last month (which would have been my normal cycle) I should get it on the 14th (this coming friday)

I also found out from a few discussions on here that brown discharge seems to be a common side effect of being introduced to new forms of birth control (like I said, took the morning after pill for only the second time after we had sex) but it could also be a side effect of pregnancy issues but it's been 2 weeks since I've had sex and from my understanding if I were pregnant I should start feeling like nauseous and headaches and stuff by now.

Another factor is that I've been a little more stressed than usual lately (partly worrying about what's going on here, partly from a bunch of other personal issues)

I constantly feel like I have to pee... again with the whole 'it feels like I have my period' bit.

And most importantly (I think) and you guys can shoot me down for this... the only means of birth control we have are condoms, the two times I've resorted to the morning after pill, the best ways I know of to clean myself out immediately after having sex, and we don't have sex that often to begin with. The first time I've ever taken any kind of birth control pill was that 3 1/2 months ago when I took the plan be for the first time. (again this only being the second) I've never been sexually active before my current boyfriend... we've been dating for almost 2 years now, living together for over a year and I just lost my virginity about 5 months ago. Our relationship is good and we're thinking about getting engaged so if I did find out I was pregnant, no we wouldn't be ready for it, but at the same time it wouldn't that huge of a burden, although I'm really praying that's not what it is right now. But with anything unexpected like that of course you have to step up and take responsibility for your actions.

Anyway, what I'm really looking for is some advice from people who have been pregnant, people who have taken the morning after pill... anything at all so I can get a general idea as to why I'm getting this brown stuff a week to a week and a half before I get my period. I'm going to take a pregnancy test this weekend just to be sure but I really need some advice before I drive myself mad. I've never experienced ANY of this stuff before.

Concerning the brownish discharge, you could have fibroids. I've had them for years and experienced similar discharge and slight bleeding. I had so many problems, I eventually had a uterine embolism (where they go up through an artery to the blood source of the fibroids and block off the blood flow to them) Worked like a charm. No more symptoms!
