I live in an army garrison in germany. One building in the camp has the social bar toilets in the cellar. On more than one occasion, people have talked about hearing things or seeing things down there. I myself witnessed the doors slamming and what sounded like weeping when down there alone. How can you tell if somewhere is haunted and if they are friendly or harmful. I know this particular camp used to be a pow war camp and has a lot of history relating to hitler's time etc. many thanks for your help.:confused:

I do think there is a possibility of ghosts being around dirty places or places left empty for too long.

I do not believe it is the soul/spirit of the dead that you are hearing,but there is a possibility of ghosts residing there and it is possible to hear sounds from them like weeping,talking or even seeing them on occasions etc.

About knowing whether they are friendly or harmful is rather difficult as they are invisible(most of the time).

If spirits exist, they probably would so there, giving it's history.
A lot of people have many different views on this subject.
I personally feel that when there is no logical explanation for strange happenings (when every possible option has been ruled out) that it is possible that it is forces from the other side.
If no one is ever hurt or made to feel threatened by the unknown, then I'd have to say it's not harmful - possibly just lost souls.
Again, there are many different outlooks on this very touchy subject.
I don't know of any one sure way for you to find out what you're wanting to know other than the experiencing it yourself and knowing that it is real or not real based on ruling out other options that might be causing the activity.

Well after what you have wrote, heard,saw... I think if am not sure it's haunted : ( Well... I do agree with firmbeliever that it's very hard to make our if they are good/bad... You need to pray on daily basis for protection...
