I have been married nearly 15 years and have 2 kids. I want to know if I can sue the woman my husband is having an affair with. We have been separated for 3 months and he moved out 2 weeks ago while I was on holiday. We live in Ireland. I will appreciate your earliest reply.
Thank you

I can understand your animosity toward her but have you thought this through. Would you sue for alientation of affections? Do you realize how much this would cost you?
I don't think your thought is feasible under the circumstances. He think however, he should be paying you child support if his intentions are divorce.

I'm going to agree with tickle, unfortunately (for you) no court (not even a small claims court) would consider your suit - primarily because, if they did, they would have a stampede, so to speak, of wives that have been wronged by their husbands.
If you feel that this slight to your dignity and pride is too much to bare, go to your lawyer or your nearest law office and have a chat with them. They will be able to give the more direct advice, however I believe they would tell you what you're being told here.

Which country are you in?
In some countries you sure can, mostly Asian countries.
No- in America.
You can find out where the woman works at and ASK her why she did that in front of her co workers. It's mean to her but you deserve an answer!!
And tell her husband about it... as well.

First you need to find out the law in Ireland. That will tell you if you can even present a suit for alienation of affection. Then you need to go to an attorney and find out if this is even feasible. It may not be. Like the others have said, you may spend more money on the lawsuit than what is reasonable. If you want to do this mostly for revenge aspect, I can understand that.
But find out what you can and cannot do, then decide if the lawsuit would be really beneficial, considering your time and effort and money. Save your money for a darn good divorce lawyer and make sure you get child support and alimony and whatever else you need to care for your children.
