I have a RCA DVD Player that isn't even a year old and there is a few disks that I try to play and sometimes it will freeze and I have to unplug and plug it back in to get it going again, does anyone know what could be causing it or what I could do to fix the problem without having having to go out and buy a new one.

Could be a dirty optical lense inside the unit. This will need professional care because the laser can be dangerous to work on. Bad for your eyes if it comes on. There are some disc type cleaners that you just load into the unit like a DVD then play the unit to clean it. Try Radio Shack.
