Hello:
I want to add electrical service to a shed that is close to my house.
I would use the electricity for interior lights and small power tools.
Would it be better to use two individual 120 volt runs from my house's circuit breaker panel to a subpanel in the shed, or should I use one 240 volt circuit that I would then split into 120 volt circuits from a subpanel in the shed? (I don't know much about 120/240, but I am assuming that a 240 volt circuit can be split into two 120 volt circuits.)
The shed is approximately sixty feet away from my house's circuit breaker panel.
The circuit breaker panel in my house happens to have several 240 volt circuits that are no longer needed.
Thank you.
