The light comes on inside the dryer but the touch pad on the top of the dryer will do nothing. I have unplugged and checked to make sure the outlet is working, the fuse is not blown and I have called maytag and they had no answers. I am worried I have to replace the touchpad. Is there anything else I can do before spending money on a repairman? Thanks

Look inside the console at the circuit board for any burnt spots. Look closely as they can be quite small

Okay-well the problem was an insufficient power supply. After paying 75.00 for the guy to flip a breaker that I checked also it was working again. So now I am going to replace the breaker. There was enough power to run the light inside but not enough to power the entire dryer. What a bummer.

Great, it's going. That's the main thing.
