My yamaha virago 259cc keeps blowing the main fuse, it will run till its gets warm, then blow the main fuse, if I replace the fuse and turn on the ignition key while the bike is still warm then the fuse blows again straight away anyone experience this before?

I've not had that particular concern. But I, too have a Virago. I also have some schematics. If you'll bear with me, I'll see what I can find...
*(edit)*
BTW: it may not matter but what year?

I've got the entire bike schem for 86-87.
If when you say main, you mean Ignition fuse, that lead to the ignition system (coils).
One or the other ignition coil may be getting too hot internally and taking out the fuse.
Once it's warmed up and popping the fuse, try unplugging first one coil or the other and see which one is the culprit. Let me know!
