How does ideal culture differ from real culture in U.S. society from other countries?

Ideal Culture: Consists of what people say they do or should do.
Real Culture: Refers of people actual behaviors.

Ideal culture is made up of good intentions
Real culture is made up of effort less intentions from a majority. Everyone started pure and nice hearted, something bad happened and they gave up on their ideals. Sucks but such is life. I will not give up on people, life and love EVERRRR. Easier said than done. I hope and pray that I can make my bit of a difference.
