Hi;

I have got a Laptop from a User without a functioning CD ROM drive and I don't have one (CD ROM) for that Laptop which functions.

The Laptop requires Reinstallation (Windows XP Pro & other required Software). Now, is there anyway that I can install this Laptop by connecting it to the Network? Like I have my Desktop Computer that has a functioning CD - ROM- Can I have my Desktop Computer's CD - ROM shared & let it to be used by the LAPTOP through network during the installation process?

Please help me with this issue

Many Thanks;

You should have the LAN setup so that you can install through the network.

Microsoft have this procedures properly outlined, follow link >> (http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/setup/winxp/install.mspx) and select "connect your computer to a wired network"
