Is there any special time to transplant tiger lillies? While we're at it is there any special thing we would need to do to transplant them? I wamted to give my brother the ones I had and don't know how ro when. Thanks

Wait until the tops die off completely. Lift carefully with a pitch fork or spade.
Gently separate and put in plastic bag with dry peat for transport.

When your brother gets home have him plant them in a full sun location 6 inches deep fertilize with a little bone meal and cover with leaf mulch. Wait for warm weather for them to come up. Sprinke some blood meal over top to encorage squirrels to leave alone.
