Hello. I've had my hair professionally colored for years wt my cousin. When I moved states away she taught me how to color my hair and I use the same products she used. I decided to try a darker color, going from an dark blonde color to a light colored brown. What I bought was a semi permanent type of color. I used it about 3 weeks ago. I immediately did not like it. I scanned the web for ways to get it out faster than the normal fade and have washed, washed, washed and used Head and SHoulders. It has lightened a lot and in fact my normal outgrowth of grey is at the roots. So there is the background... and here is the question... #1 > how long do I have to wait to recolor using the permanent dark blonde and will it cover the semi permanent light brown... #2 > will it be safe to add some highlights into my hair after the recolor? And how long should I wait to do that? Thanks so much for your advice...

A permanent color can be used over semi-permanent color. If your hair is in good condition you can re-color your hair and add highlights to it on the same day.
