Hi,
I am expected to get my period on the 31 of Augest... When I went to the doctor he offerd me a blood test for pregnancy... The first day of my last peroid was on the 3 of Augest. Is it just to soon for all of this... Do I have to wait or is the test right and I'm not pregnant?
I took the blood test on the 23 and got the resaults today 24... I didn't think I wanted to be pregnant but after finding out I was negative I was over come with saddness.. I don't know what to do go and get another blood test or wait it out?
Could my blood test be wrong?

It is really too early to know... false negatives are very common this early on... You may not have enough hormones built up to show on a test. Typically, you need to wait until at least a week after your due period... it is quite possible it is a false negative, but also just as possible it is correct... good luck to you.

If your doctor gave you a qualatative blood test(most likely), then chances are it could be wrong. Blood tests are much more accurate then hpts, however, qualatative blood tests only give you a negative, or positive result, and if your hcg levels still aren't high enough to register, you'll still get a negative. If he gave you a quantative blood test, this measure the exact number of hcg in your system. If you miss your period, wait to weeks, then test again. Its not uncommon to think you don't want to be pregnant, but then feel down hearted when you feel you are (or vice versa at times ;0) sounds like its time for you to really search your feelings on the matter and decide if maybe it IS something you want, or not. Good luck
