I am 15 and Ive been a christain pretty much since I was born. But about two years ago I started doing bad things, thinking that I could just start worshop the lord when I get older. Soon I figured out that wasn't the way to go so I started worshoping the lord again, but about a month later I went back to my old bad ways. Though out these 2 years I've gone on and off worshoping the lord. And now I'm 15 and sometimes I only start to worship the lord for like 2 or 3 days then go right back to my old bad ways and it won't even be like a month till id speak to the lord again. The diffence is that before the age of thirteen I felt a real good spearitual connectoin. And through out my 2 years of going back and fourth the spiritual connectoin faded away and now I don't feel like he's there at all. And it hasn't bothered me that bad until today when I heard that sometimes the lord can give you up and stop helping you reach the light. And it scarded me and made me wonder if he had done that to me.
Is this true?
Oh and another question is that I do listen to some bad music like rap and stuff.
Does it matter what music I listen to?

No he will not stop helping as long as you don't give up on him. And sometimes he still helps you anyway.

You don't state whether you are baptized or not, I would say that if you are not baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and you are really serious to abandon your ways and to take on God's ways then you should get baptized. Whatever worries and temptations there are just stand on God's Word. Im sure He didn't give up on you , He is just waiting for you to take the first step :)

I do agree with the answers above. I just wanted to add that it can make a difference in what type of music that you listen to. Especially what might be said in the music. Because, if you listen to it over and over, it can possibly have an influence on your thoughts and then actions.
Rap isn't necessarily bad. It's what is said in the Rap that can be bad.

Hello, jijo! Please excuse me. I don't want to take issue with the content of your post right now. I think that what you have posted is quite good. But, I do want to say that it would help if you would use correct spelling and grammar so that the many people from around the world who use this site might understand what you are saying. Not everyone will understand chat speak. Just a hint from me. Thank you!

To the concerns about the music you listen to. Yes, the music you listen to can have a great impact to your walk with God. Song lyrics that run contrary to the teachings of Christ can do much damage to your faith. I would recommend finding some music that is up-lifting, or that focuses on the spiritual rather than the material things of life. And not obscene, and not degrading towards people. Just ask yourself before you start listening, "would Jesus approve of this?"

My personal belief is that God is like your parents. No matter what you do to them or no matter how many times you say I hate you or I don't love you or I don't need you he just stands firmer and firmer in front of you.
I also believe that its easy to believe in God when things are going good. The question is can you believe when everything is falling down around you? I'm not a religious person but I deeply believe in the presence of God in my day to day life. There have been many negative things in my life that I have overcome and during those hard times I always asked God Why Me? I know can look back and see that I would not be who I am now without those trials. That God has plans for us that our grander then we can even imagine. God is looking at the entire tapestry of our lives we get to see roughly 1/16 of a cm at a time.

Being a deist, I don't believe God is directly involved with the affairs of men, but He or It has provided everything we would ever need within the physical creation itself, without His having to intervene. It is my belief that what matters to God is how well we treat each other, & not what we particularly believe.

No. It does not matter what music you listen to. Everyone goes through times in their lives when they feel more or less of a connection with God. A lot of things happen to us and it will test your faith and question everything you believe in. The best advice I can give you is to listen to yourself and don't just take someone else's word for it. Find your own way, and find what YOU believe in. God will always be there for you whether you believe in him or not and he will always help you, it just might not be in the way that you want him to help you.
