Hi
I was hoping someone might be able to help me.
I am using a wireless connection and I am having major problems with it staying connected, I used it on my old laptop and it was very stable and rarely fell over but now it will only stay connected for a few minutes- anyone have any ideas on this? My husband normally deals with the computers and networks but he is currently in iraq so is unable to help. So any help would be great.
Many thanks
Laura

Can you give us more info about your system. What router, what netork adapters, what does the signla strength say when you connect what version of Windows, etc.

Hi,
I am not sure if this link has the information that will help, but it's worth a try. It gives some very good tips about placement of wireless components.

Perhaps you moved something to a different location.

If you still have the manual for the wireless access point, router, or gateway (whichever you are using), try to find out how to switch channels. There might be another wireless network around, or a cordless phone, or some other type of device, operating on the same wireless frequencies, and causing interference. All the channels use similar frequencies, so if it doesn't fix it right a way, try a few different channels. Once you chage the channel on the router/gateway/access point, it should automatically detect the change on the laptop, and adjust to it.
