I don't "feel" pregnant but I've been noticing weird signs lately that have started getting me paranoid. Just last week I noticed an increase amount of vaginal discharge that has no odor or smell. However, the vaginal discharge stopped this week. For the past few days now I've been expecting my period since it feels like its going to start... but it hasn't. It's not necessarily considered a missed period since my periods are abnormal and usual start every 3 months or so. And lately, I've found myself to be really moody, emotional, and depressed. I think it could be the fact that my dad just past away last month and my family are struggling financially right now. On top of that, my boyfriend's parents are putting a lot of pressure on us and I worry he'll leave me even though he says he never will. To make things even worse... there was drama at school with my old friends and they ended up spreading nasty rumors about me and I've never really been able to get over that. I'm not experiencing any other pregnancy symptoms but I'm just worried because my boyfriend and I usually have unprotected sex. I know that's stupid but every time we have sex it's always unplanned. The last two times that we had sex he said he might have pre-cummed in me but he wasn't sure. I'm kind of freaking out right now because I CAN NOT manage a baby with all the current stress in my life. What do you guys think? Am I pregnant?

Your symptoms doesn't look like pregnancy symptoms to mee.. Why don't you go for a pregnancy test?

First and foremost... you admit you are not ready for a baby... then use protection... even if sex is unplanned you can always be prepared, have him carry condoms in his wallet or you in your purse... its really rather simple.

So to get that out of the way, if you are having unprotected sex there is always the chance you can get pregnant.

The symptoms you are describing seem merely like an upcoming period. The increased discharged happens around ovulation when your body producese more fertile discharge to help move sperm. A women always produces discharge, but during your most fertile days it increases. The rest of your symptoms sounds like PMS due to an upcoming period which follows a few days-weeks after you ovulate.

Since your periods are irregular I would suggest taking a pregnancy test to be sure... if you are still worried you could go to your doctor and have a blood pregnancy test too.

Being that you under a lot of stress right now it can be causing a delay in your period.
As far as the "pre " this is not a good form of birth control many many women have become pregnant this way.
If you don't want to become pregnant I would suggest you start birth control and even use two forms such as a condom and birth control because no birth control is 100%.
For now to ease your mind you may want to take a HPT.
If you don't get your period soon you may want to see a doctor for a blood test to check for the pregnancy HCG hormone or to see why you haven't started.

You have a lot going on right now, so the stress is undoubtedly taking a toll on your body. As mentioned, pre- does have sperm and you could become pregnant this way. Guys don't necessarily know when they've gotten to that point, so you shouldn't rely on them to pull out... another way unwanted pregnancies occur.

Take care of your body by using protection or abstaining completely... at least for a while. Its another problem that you don't need to be stressing about right now.

If we're lucky THIS time, I doubt we'll be having sex for awhile. And what you said about an upcoming period, I think so too. Just today when I came home from work I saw blood so it made me kind of excited. I'm hoping that it's not spotting and that it's my ACTUAL period. Thanks for the advice. I'll wait until later in the week to see whether it really is my period. :)

You have a good point. I've already told my boyfriend about our current situation and we have already decided to wait for awhile. :)

Glad to hear it! Why bring more stress into your life, right?

Ok. Well, I have another question. I'm almost definite I'm on my period now. It was very light yesterday but today it's gotten heavier and I'm even cramping. It's not normal to have cramps while spotting is it? And is it possible to have a period while pregnant?

At this point, the only thing that will satisfy your fears is to make an appointment with your doctor.

Cramps while spotting is not uncommon, and a period can happen while pregnant... but it could indicate a problem.

You know your body so if something doesn't seem right, you'll need to make an appointment with your GYN.

It's been a few days now since I've started my period and it seems normal to me. All those symptoms I described earlier are now gone. So maybe it WAS just PMS from an upcoming period. To be certain, my boyfriend is going to go buy a home pregnancy test for me once I'm off my period. And about my body... it hasn't been quite the same since I've gotten a urinary tract infection. I had two in the last 4 months and I'm questioning whether it might have something to do with the antibiotics that were prescribed to me.

It could be antibiotics, but you need to try to prevent getting a UTI as much as posible. I can't imagine that your body would be the same after having TWO UTI's in 4 months! You need to make sure you are going to the bathroom as soon as possible after having sex and after taking baths. Also, I have found that taking a once a day cranberry pill (walmart vitamin section) also helps tremendously. You need to be taking care of your body. The antibiotics can mess with your system, and more often than not will give you a yeast infection. It's a good thing you didn't get one of those, too. Just take things easy for a while. You seem to be rather stressed out. Make sure you are taking a daily vitamin, drinking enough water, and working out. You will feel so much better!

Thanks for the advice. I've been trying my best to take care of my body since then. I heard that drinking cranberry juice is better than taking the cranberry pill so I've been drinking cranberry juice on a daily basis. I'm just hoping there isn't anything serious going on with my body >_<.

I don't know if it's better, but be careful with what kind of cranberry juice you are drinking. Many of them contain a lot of sugar. I like taking the pill because it is concentrated amounts of cranberry in one dose. If you start to get a UTI you can take one pill every hour if needed, but usually 2-3 pills in a day will ward it off. You have to drink at least 3-4 glasses of cranberry juice to ward off a UTI, and for me it has never worked. I don't know why it would be better, simply because the juice does have all the sugar and the pill is just cranberry. Like I said, to each her own. Glad to hear you are taking care of yourself. Give your body a couple of weeks of drinking lots of water and taking vitamins. If you still feel like something is off, go to your doctor to get a physical.

Well, I think the reason cranberry juice is supposed to be better is because it's natural. The brand I drink is by Ocean Spray and it's 100% natural with no added sugar. I would recommend this brand to other women suffering from UTIs because it's the best I've come across.

Thanks for advice. :) I'll see what happens in a few weeks.
