In 1999 Alan Keyes also won the Alabama straw poll

Keyes wins low-profile Alabama straw poll - August 30, 1999 (http://www.cnn.com/ALLPOLITICS/stories/1999/08/30/president.2000/alabama.straw/)

So Paul can take encouragement in the fact that he is at least as successful as Keyes in president electoral politics.

Hello again, tom (you too El):

Actually, the two of them on the ticket would be a dream team for me. Together, they represent the best of the right and the best of the left.

PS> Yes, I'm a bit skitzoid.

We now know there are at least 216 people supporting Ron Paul, which is probably about a dozen more supporters than Kucinich has. Although I hear there's a growing movement to join with Mrs. Kucinich in visualizing a win.
