I've been experiencing severe pain during intercourse. I saw my GYN and she did not see anything wrong except a bacterial infection which has since been treated. I also had full STD tests taken and everything was negative. If I feel the interior wall of my vagina, there seems to be a bump where the pain is coming from. It is a stabbing sort of pain that I can pinpoint exactly. Any idea what the cause may be or what I could do to go back to a normal sex life?

Ask your doctor to check for CI

Hi,
I really suggest seeing another doctor.
You need some type of scan testing done; of course at the discretion of the doctor.
The doctor you are seeing doesn't sound like they have time to have any type of scan performed, like maybe a CAT scan, if appropriate. You did tell the doctor about the bump, I hope.
You and a doctor should determine what that bump is, as soon as possible!
Best of luck,
fredg

I need some advice on having pain afetr sex. My husband and I had sex in a certain position, and was forced to stop when I went into excruciating pain. I couldn't get comfortable in any position, and got hot and cold flashes. I honestly felt like I was going to pass out from the pain. All of my muscles were so tenced up, I could not relax, cough, laugh, or anytiing involving pressure. If anyone understands this, I would really appreciate some feedback. It was really scary not knowing what I was feeling. Thank you.

This is something I have never experienced - but if I was in your position I would be seeing my Doctor and getting checked out ASAP.

Ladybug - I would seriously get a second opinion from a different Doctor.

Ladybug, you should be concerned that your doctor did not mention the bump.

I agree that you should get a 2nd opinion - and bring up that bump specifically.

Ladybug everyone in this thread agrees that you should consult another Doctor and get a second opinion. Make it very clear about the lump you have found and make sure they run tests for you. You need to get this sorted and put your mind at rest!!

I use to have painful intercourse. During an ultrasound while I was pregnant it was discovered that I had a growth on one of my ovaries which was hanging perpendicular to my cervix. Turns out that my partner was hitting this growth with his penis and it was the most unbearable pain. I had to have that ovary removed to get rid of the growth. I was told the growth was filled with skin, hair and teeth and that it was made up of fetal matter from when I was being formed as a baby. So you may want to do an ultra sound to see if there is anything in that area that shouldn't be there... good luck!
