My Biological Father Had 40 Acres That I Moved On To In A Mobile Home. He Stated It Would Be Fine But If I Ever Wanted To Do Anything Else We Would Do Something Different.

We Wanted To Start Building And He Stated That Would Be Fine And Now He Has Given The Land To His Other Daughter And Left Me Out Completely. I Have Been Here About 10 Years. Have Not Finished The House Because I Do Not Want To Spend Any More Money On It To Give To Some One Else That Might Move Me Off In A Few Years.

The Acre I Am On Is Part Of A Farm And We Rented The Farm About 7 Years Ago.

Do I Have Any Options?

Appreciate Any Assistance In What Direction I Can Take Now.

Thanks,
Rebecca

Get a real estate attorney, NOW!

Do you have anything in writing whereby you got permission to build? Can you prove the father knew you were building? If you can prove it, you might be able to claim the land, but you really need an attorney to wade through the legal quagmire.

Yes, you need an attorney NOW, Unless you have something in writing, it is very possible you have no claim to the land what so ever.

File a lien against the property for the money you have proof of.

Buy the land for yourself.

What improvements have you made to the farm in the last 7 years?
